Carlos Alcaraz upset the odds on Sunday, July 10, 2023, defeating Novak Djokovic in straight sets to win his first Wimbledon title. The 19-year-old Spaniard became the youngest Wimbledon champion since Andy Murray in 2016, and the first male teenager to win a Grand Slam title since Rafael Nadal in 2005.

However, Alcaraz played with remarkable composure and aggression, and he never allowed Djokovic to settle into a rhythm. The Spaniard broke Djokovic's serve three times in the first set, and he took the second set with ease. Djokovic fought back in the third set, but Alcaraz broke his serve in the ninth game and served out the set to win the match.
